BYU organizational history project, via WWW, Nov. 28, 2012 (Placement Center; Placement Office; Placement; took name in 1961, previously known as Placement Bureau; worked with colleges and departments to assist in placement of graduates; helped students find part-time employment; involved in hiring of non-academic university staff; originally reported to Administrative Assistant to the President; came under direction of University Personnel Services in 1969, later Placement and Employment Services in 1985; was renamed as Career Placement Services in 1995)
