The Daily Universe was the campus-lab for journalism students. The Daily Universe mainly existed to train journalism and public relations students in writing for mass media. Beginning in 1972, the Universe was under the supervision of the Dept. of Communications within the College of Fine Arts and Communications. It was also under the supervision of a Daily Universe Advisory Board. In 2012 the paper ended printing its daily newspaper and changed its name to 'The Universe'. The Universe publishes a weekly newspaper and daily news updates are now posted on their website.
