Administrative History

The China Teachers Program (CTP) (1989-) is a nonprofit outreach program of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies at Brigham Young University. The purpose of the program is to supply Chinese universities with teachers from the U.S.

Since the its founding in 1989, the program has provided many Chinese universities with 1,500 educators. The goal of the program is to build cultural and eduational ties between BYU, the Kennedy Center, and Chinese universities as well as provide students and teachers alike with exposure to Chinese and American culture.
