The Knight Investment Company was a Utah investment firm founded by Jesse Knight, who first obtained his wealth from silver mining in the Tintic Mining District of Utah. The investment firm was organized to secure coordination of holdings and place responsibility on members of the family. The investment firm was connected to mining, sugar, and ranching companies, the Utah Savings Bank, the Knight Woolen Mills, and the American-Columbian Corporation. About 80 corporations were eventually brought within the scope of Knight Investment Company.
