Administrative History

The Program Bureau (1958-1978) organized nation and worldwide performances and tours for the performing groups at Brigham Young University.

The Program Bureau, formerly called the Student Program Bureau, was formed in 1958 to facilitate the organization of tours for performing groups at BYU including the Letterman, Fieldhouse Frolics, Startime BYU, and 15. Chairmen included John D. Burnett (1958), James H. Lawrence (1959-1969), Janie Thompson (1969-1976), and K. Newell Dayley (1976-1978).
