Financial account book of emigration for the Aalborg company of saints to Utah includes accounts payable and receivable on an individual basis. The account book has the name James H. Hart inscribed on the front fly page. The separate page has a "recapitulation list" on the reverse of the account page which is apparently an account of how many of the emigrants settled where in Utah.

Handwritted and signed letter dated 5 April 1854. The item was addressed to "the acting secretary of the P.E. Company." MacKintosh presents summaries of financial transactions conducted by the company. The company was designed to provide financial support for Mormons emigrating to Utah.

A list of twenty Danish members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the amount they were in debt to Niels Hans Nielsen, totaling $1,741.75. Nielsen authorized the transfer of these debts owed him to Brigham Young as a donation to the Perpetual Emigration (or Emigrating) Fund. Signed by Nielsen and two witnesses at Brigham City, Utah, on April 30, 1860.

Handwritten receipts. Erastus Snow, an apostle in the Mormon Church signs a receipt in St. Louis, Missouri, on 18 April 1855 noting William Cooper's payment of $72. John Sanderson signs a promissory note on 10 Oct. 1853 stating he would bring the Thomas O'Brien family from England.

This collection contains correspondence, reports, documents, and passenger lists of ships of the Perpetual Emigrating Fund Company. The first folder contains an index of the collection.

The A. O. Smoot family papers consists of correspondence, publications, genealogy records, journals, account books, receipts, and related ephemera. The collection covers several generations and family members of the Smoot Family. Materials are dated 1815 to 1961.
