Materials include plans for the Harris Fine Arts Center, the Joseph Smith Building (with revised and remodeled versions), a key drawing for the Maeser Memorial Building, a red line print set "as built" for the Mathematical Science and Computer Building, and plans of BYU heating and the Physical Plant. Materials are on paper and acetate.

Contains budget and accounting records including maintenance and operation status reports, proposals, Director's office records, grounds budget, policies and procedures, requisitions, facility improvements, requests, special project records, expenditures, and purchasing committee reports, 1947-1979.

Contains copies of building inventories produced by the Physical Plant Department of Brigham Young University. The inventories list the buildings on campus and some information about them. Materials date from 1984, 1992 to 1996, 2004 to 2005, and 2009.

Consists of the building program requirements for a number of campus additions and remodels. Information consists of space requirements summaries, cost guidelines, justification for the construction of a new building or remodel of an existing structure, approvals, and special considerations.

Contains correspondence from the Physical Plant Department, including inter-campus mail, inter-office mail, date files, morning reports, weekly progress reports, and memos. Included are Sam Brewster's director files of chronological correspondence, 1947-1976.

Contains multiple scrapbooks/building histories documenting the history of the physical facilities of Brigham Young University up through the 1980s. The collection also contains a few newspaper clippings concerning the Physical Plant Department from 1978-2004. Many of the items were produced by Ephraim Hatch.

Materials dated from 1954 to 1976.

Contains minutes and annual reports from the Physical Plant Department. Minutes include records on special meetings, campus planning, central heating, faculty, staff meeting materials, the executive committee, job meetings, staff reports, traffic, and utilities. Annual reports cover a 1976 accreditation study, conferences and groups, an annual safety report, and custodial records, 1959-1980.
