Administrative History

The Learning Resource Center (1986-2010) was an administrative unit at Brigham Young University.

The Learning Resource Center was established as a library department in 1986 in a reorganization of the earlier Learning Center Division, and made part of the General Services Division. In 1991 the unit was transferred to the Collection Development Division, then in 2006 to Access Services. The Learning Resource Center was renamed the Media Center in 2010.
