Felix Berenguer de Marquina decree
Printed and signed decree in Spanish. The item repeats a decree of 1765 which forbids confessors to advise penitents to leave their inheritances to trust funds or to churches and convents. This copy was posted in Tulancingo.
John Martin diary
Phtocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten diary. Martin writes about his work as a minister in Manti, Ephraim, and Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He talks about his activities, preaching, and his various contacts.
Seth Mattison letter
Handwritten and signed letter dated 22-24 Aug. 1827 and addressed to the Reverend, Israel Chamberlayne. Mattison relates a near-death experience accompanied by a spiritual confirmation of the faith.

Maxham family genealogies
The folder contains six items that are photocopies of handwritten and typewritten genealogies. The materials were probably assembled around 1982 by Maxham family members in Utah that were members of the Mormon Church.
The maze of Mormonism
Typewritten copy of a speech critical of the doctrines of the Mormon Church probably written in 1970. Dr. Martin attacks that faith as having false teachings in a number of areas, but his main emphasis is on the Mormon view of God and the Trinity.
D. M. McAllister galley proofs
Galley proofs of an article by McAllister which was published in the September 1917 issue of the Improvement Era, A Mormon Church periodical. The article explains that Mormon temple ordinances are essential to salvation. The sheets bear holograph corrections and a note by Joseph F. Smith, the 6th president of the Mormon Church. Smith's note suggests that the article be published as a four page tract.
