Materials contain a memoir written by Arlin L. Mecham titled "The History of Arlin LaGrand Mecham" describing his service in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946 and then from 1952-1953. Discusses various spiritual experiences and combat near Bastogne, Belgium. Describes mortar attacks and his struggle with frozen feet and occupation of Austria. Includes photographs of Mecham both in the war and a more recent photo. Dated before 2000.

Materials contain a transcribed interview of Arline Dyer Johnson regarding her service in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E.S. during World War II. She discusses serving at the North Island Naval Base near San Diego, California, and achieving the rank of petty officer third class. Also contains two photocopied photographs of Johnson in uniform and at time of interview. Dated 1942-1946 and June 30, 2005.
