Contents include research materials on Native Americans in Utah that were collected by Ronald W. Walker. These materials consist of written drafts by Walker, and other notes and annotations concerning Native Americans. Materials dated approximately 1950-2016.

Typewritten manuscript with corrections. Sonne portrays Richard Ballantyne as a modest and taciturn Scotsman who converted to the Mormon religion and migrated to the United States. He distinguished himself as a Mormon pioneer, settler, and missionary. Richard met Joseph Smith (1805-1844), the Mormon prophet, in Nauvoo, Illinois and later moved to Utah. He also served a mission for the Mormon Church in India. The manuscript was later published under the title: "Knight of the Kingdom."

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 7 Feb. 1855, and addressed to P. Clayton, "2nd Auditor." Young writes about the audit of accounts related to his position as Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Utah.

Biographies, diaries, newspaper clippings, poems, correspondence, histories of Monticello, Utah, photographs of family members, and genealogies. The materials relate the Perkins family which settled in Monticello, Utah. The diaries deal largely with missions served by family members for the Mormon Church. Also included are accounts of family members attending college, encountering Indians, and working with women's organizations.
