Scope and Contents The first five leaves of this document tell of the author's ancestry in England. There is also a brief autobiography followed by a diary which covers the years from 1874 to 1879. The diary is sketchy and most of the entries are short. Hillstead joined the Mormon church in England in 1850. He was married in 1852 and came to Utah in 1869.
