Franklin Hill Harris reminiscence
Bertrand Fereday Harrison lantern slides and negatives
The glass lantern slides were taken by Bertrand F. Harrison in the 1930s and 1940s, and contain pictures of plants and other biological specimens related to Utah. The negatives collection includes twenty-five small, round metal containers of 35mm film, and one cassette tape. Labels on film canisters include references to Zion's Park, St. George, natural bridges, Chicago, Aspen Grove, Midway, Yellowstone Park, the Uintah Mountains, and various other Utah locations.
Stanley C. Harvey biography
Four audiocassette tapes with a recording of Stanley C. Harvey of Price, Utah, talking about his coal mining experiences in Carbon County, and the experiences of his father, Thomas Crocker Harvey, working in the coal mining industry in Pennsylvania and Utah. Also includes a transcription. Dated 1974-1977.
Charles Lynn Hayward papers
Collection includes a typed transcription of field notes and observances from around Utah. Also includes specific counts of plants and animals, along with the animals' activities. Dated 1936-1970.
William Heidorn photographs
Collection includes 31 gelatin silver photographs of logging in the Sierra Nevada mountains and a sailing ship, taken by William Heidorn. Also includes some corresponding acetate copy negatives. Dated approximately 1900-1929.
H. Heiman letter
Handwritten letter dated 26 Dec. 1850. The item was written in Legards Bar, California and was addressed to D. M. Woodin in Lapeer, Michigan. Heiman writes about life at the gold mines. He states that working in the mines is for people willing to "work hard and live like a dog."
