Frederick Whitaker Taylor photograph album
The photographic album, circa 1830-1909
Old photograph album that is brown with ornate carving on the front, back, and spine. It has one gold clasp that locks the album. Inside are a title of the album, an index to record the photographs inside (which is blank), and the openings to house and frame the photographs. The album was manufactured by William W. Harding of Philadelphia.
Tiahuanacu photographs
Collection includes one photographic album of 29 photographs of the early findings of the Tiahuanacu excavation led by Arthur Posnansky (1873-1946) approximately 1900-1910. The photographs are of the city and temple ruins, some which have various pre-Incan symbols and designs. The most prominant is a depiction of Wirajhocacha.
