This series contains documents from Latter-day Saints that served in the Pacific part of World War II. Records are from the army, air corps, marine corps, navy, coastal guard, civilians, and merchants. Also contains artifacts yearbooks, photographs, currency, and stamps that have been included. Stark family papers, 1891-1984
Materials contain correspondence, postcards, journals, and other ephemera collected by members of the Stark family. Most of these materials relate to personal and family life. Many materials also relate to the missions Moroni Stark and Grant Stark served for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Materials dated 1891 to 1984.
Sterling Yeaman papers, 1942-1991
Materials include papers of Sterling Yeaman relating to his service in the U.S. Merchant Marines in four wars, including World War II and the Gulf War. Describes his travels and trying to find the church in most places he went. Includes photographs, including ones from a story that he related about a Japanese fishing boat which they rescues that had been sunk in a hurricane. Dated 1942-1991.
Granville Stuart papers
Collection includes information on the life of Granville Stuart, including diaries, correspondence, personal writings, sketches, photographs, and other materials. These items document his life from the 1860s to the 1910s. Also included in the collection are the papers of some of Stuart's relatives, including his brothers, James and Thomas, and his second wife, Allis Isabella Brown Stuart.
Harvey L. Taylor papers
Collection contains the personal papers of Harvey Taylor. It consists of photo albums, slides, speeches given, letters of recommendation, awards, and scrapbooks relating to Taylor's home life as well as his positions as vice president of Brigham Young University and superintendent of Mesa Public Schools. This collection also contains scrapbooks and writings of his wife, Lucelle Taylor, 1894-1983.
