A collection of photographs, postcards, pressings, and occasional journal-type notes depicting scenic places, people, etc. in Italy and describing Young's feelings about Italy. Compiled while he served as Mission President, April, 1904.

Used by Elder Young while serving as an LDS missionary and mission president. The scriptures are printed in German with handwritten annotations by Young.

Contains typewritten notes, poems, thoughts, etc., on religion and history. Probably used by Elder Young during and following his mission when giving speeches or lectures.

General correspondence of the First Council of the Seventy. The majority are thank-you notes, letters of condolence, and Christmas greetings sent by Elder Young.

Correspondence, journals, scrapbooks, lecture materials, published and unpublished manuscripts, memorabilia, and miscellany. The materials cover a large number of topics because of Young's involvement in religion, education, government (historical societies), and professional organizations. The diaries were kept while Young was serving as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Switzerland.
