Handwritten word lists. The items are lists of words from Indian languages with their English equivalents. One list is associated with the "Snake" (Shoshoni) Indians of Idaho, and the other is believed to relate to the Shisika Indians. The date of composition of the materials is uncertain. They were probably written some time in the late nineteenth century.

Also includes a photocopy and a typescript of a letter from Lorenzo D. Wasson, Emma Smith, and a third author to David Hale. The handwriting may be from Joseph Smith, but it is unsigned. Original documents date from 1827 to 1888.
