Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography, diaries, and typewritten and handwritten correspondence. Nye writes about his birth in England, his immigration to Australia, his joining the Mormon Church, and his subsequent migration to Utah from 1859 to 1860 where he settled in Ogden. His autobiography covers the time until 1881 when his diary begins. Nye served on a mission for the Mormon Church in Great Britain from 1882 to 1884. Handwritten diary. Perkins came to Australia from England in 1853, worked as a liquor wholesaler, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also included are two biographies of Perkins by family members. Perkins came to California in 1856 and later settled in Parowan, Utah.
