Collection includes five items: the History of John Johnson, History of Harry Martin Thorsen, "Main Street, Salina, Utah," by Harry Thorsen, History of Salina, and a compilation of historical documents describing the shooting of German POWs in Salina by Clarence Bertucci on 8 July 1945.

Handwritten diaries and correspondence. Freece's diaries cover the years from 1915 to 1924 and describe farming experiences and daily activities. Also included are writings on Mormon history, descriptions of visions and dreams, and some miscellaneous items. Also included is a diary for the year 1909 and other personal papers of Freece's daughter, Margaret, who was a physician in Salina.

Correspondence, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, histories, Salina city council minutes, and photographs. The materials relate to E. Smith Peterson's family and teaching career.
