Shelley collected narratives from friends and neighbors describing their experiences with bad Utah drivers. Included are stories of cars not letting others switch lanes, angry drivers yelling at drivers who weren't doing anything wrong, and a car which almost hit a man at three times during the same day. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Gretchen Fegel collected personal narratives of family traditions. Included are stories of a family eating bagels, cream cheese, and beef sticks for breakfast every Christmas morning, a mother who carefully picked over her children's candy for the best pieces, and a Christmas tradition of making English toffee, divinity, and chocolates. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1991.

Bailey collects stories from her extended family. She believes that older people tell stories to younger people in order to emphasize values that they see as declining, and that young people tell stories to old people in order to learn to relate to them.
