Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography and diary with photocopies of the item. The account of Williams' early life was written from notes and from his memory in 1852. Williams, a native of Penally, Pembroke, South Wales, was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1840s. He served on a mission in Wales for that faith from 1846 to 1852.
