William Addington Martindale papers
Typescript copies of correspondence, blessings, a biographical sketch, genealogy, a letter of recommendation, letters to Martindale from James Martindale (1856) and from Orson Hyde (1848), genealogical record of the Martindale family, a photograph of Martindale, and Martindale's patriarchal blessing by Hyrum Smith (1843) (some photocopies). James H. Martineau map
Photocopy of a hand drawn map with a handwritten explanation. The map was for "Desert Camp" in Meadow Valley, Nevada. The site was examined as a possible location for a settlement of Mormons fleeing Utah at the advent of United States Army to Utah in 1858.
Susan Ellen Johnson Martineau autobiography
Handwritten autobiography. The date of composition is uncertain. Martineau writes about being forced to leave Missouri with other Mormons, migrating to Utah in 1849, marrying James Henry Martineau in 1852, and her life in Parowan, Utah.
Levi C. Matthews memorandum book
Holograph notebook (plus 4 p. partial typescript containing only the journal entries) which contains a record of depts, expenses, and later experiences after Matthews left his home in Colon, Michigan on April 15, 1851 bound for California by boat. The journal describes his travels through Mexico from Vera Cruz to Acapulco, comments about the U.S. - Mexican War, and gives details of his boat trip to San Francisco.

Biographical sketch of Ether E. McBride
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typed autobiography. McBride was born in Scotland in 1848 and came to Utah by handcart in 1856. He did not specify which handcart company he travelled with. He lived in Ogden and later in Grantsville, Utah. He played with Indian children in the Ogden area and learned their language and customs.

Short history of William Campbell McGregor
Photocopy of a typewritten biography of William Campbell McGregor by an unknown author. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1833 and married Sara Fish Smith in 1857. He joined the Mormon Church in 1850 and came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1854 and later moved to Parowan, Utah. He served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in 1876 and 1880-1. McGregor raised a Navajo Indian child, Jennette, and participated in Utah's Black Hawk War. He died in 1913.
Lois W. McIntyre travel journal
Contains Lois W. McIntyre's travel journal and hotel stationary notes documenting her vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii; Wake Island; Manila; Singapore; Bangkok; Hong Kong; and Tokyo. In her journal, she summarizes daily travel itineraries and comments more particularly on flora, dress, and cuisine of each destination she visits. McIntyre makes reference to the construction of the "Mormon University" in Hawaii. Dated 1958 July-August.
