Collection is comprised of letters, most of them written by George Q. Cannon during his time of service as a Utah Territory delegate to the United States House of Representatives. The remainder of the letters were written by a variety of family members and friends to Martha Telle Cannon. The bulk of the letters were written between 1872 and 1882.

Handwritten and signed letter addressed to the secretary of the "Council Chamber." Smith asks about how many copies of various printed items the secretary is willing to pay for.

Typewritten biographical sketches (photocopies) of Snow and his wife, Mary Ann V. Snow; ALS's (with typed transcripts) to his fourth polygamous wife, Sarah E.W. Snow, with a few to their children; a certificate of election, a deed, and a family group sheet (photocopies). Letters contain information pertaining to relations with his plural family, his missionary experiences in England, and the building of the Manti, Utah Temple. Includes cover letter by donor.

The Utah District Court Records of United States vs. George Reynolds is a microfilm copy of papers and files of United States vs. George Reynolds case on polygamy from 1874.

Handwritten and signed letters dated 6 April 1874 and 15 Sept. 1887. The 1874 missive is addressed to settlements "southeast of St. George," Utah, and relates to the mission of the the Mormon Church to the Indians of Moencopi. The 1887 letter is addressed to George Alfred Townsend and relates to Townsend's disire to come to the West U.S.
