The minute book contains descriptions of the Relief Society meetings and speeches concerning the spiritual welfare of the members of the Mormon Church. In addition, the minute book includes a membership list of the Mormon Relief Society in Cedar City.

Photocopy of typescript. Author discusses his family's British roots; their acceptance of Mormonism while living in Birmingham, England, and their immigration to the United States. Tolton also describes his experiences during the Black Hawk War (Utah) and frontier life in Utah. His account goes into great detail about his involvement in territorial and state politics, his business ventures, family life, and his mission to Great Britain for the Mormon Church.

John Urie letters
Handwritten and signed letters written to Urie's wife, Priscilla, and to his mother. Two of the items were written while Urie was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Glasgow, Scotland. The remaining items were written in Cedar City, Utah. Urie writes about personal and family matters and also about his activities and community affairs.
