Scope and Contents

Traces seven generations of Elias W. Howell's paternal ancestry. Includes maps, pictures, and other copied documents. Elias's parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York, 1841-42. Elias crossed the plains to Utah in 1852 and settled in North Bend (subsequently named Fairview) in 1860.

The materials relate to primarily Brady's experiences as a missionary in the Northern States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1911-1913. He served much of his time in the Chicago, Illinois, area and in Indiana. Brady often mentions his son, Sidney Alphonso Brady.
