Collection includes the papers of various members of the Burton family from 1834 to 2005, with the bulk of the material focusing on the life of Rulon and Josephine Burton. Materials include journals, personal and family correspondence, literary and manuscript drafts, personal and family scrapbooks, notebooks and other family records.
Susan Elizabeth Redd Butler correspondence
Handwritten letters by Susan Redd Butler and various other people. Most of the letters deal with religious and personal matters. The collection also includes one essay by Evelena Redd titled "The Fox" and one letter by Susan to Santa Claus.

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 1 March 1847, and addressed to Thomas Dutcher of Garrettsville, Ohio. Cadwell writes about family matters and criticises Mormons in Nauvoo, Illinois, for not having the right spirit.
Alfred H. Caine family correspondence
Materials include correspondence, documents, and photographs belonging to various members of the Caine-Mitchell family. The correspondence is mostly between Caine and his wife, Margaret Ann Mitchell. There are also letters written by Mitchell's father, Frederick A. Mitchell, and Caine's brother John T. Caine Jr. Most of the letters discuss personal matters and family business, including the local silk industry. Dated 1873-1903.
J. Calhoun letter and note
