Arza Adams autobiographies and diaries

Scope and Contents

Photocopies of microfilm copies of handwritten diaries. Adams joined the Mormon Church in 1836 and served as missionary for that faith in Canada. He moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, and worked on the Nauvoo Temple. He came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1849.

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten diary. Adams lived in Oakley, Idaho, and writes about his daily routine. He was concerned about his health, the weather, and farm work. He also tells about various meetings for the Mormon Church.

Contains a journal of Adams' mission to Great Britain, 1895-1897, including newspaper clippings about Mormonism in Ireland, and records of his correspondence and missionary work. Also included are a letter changing his mission call to Great Britain, 1895, genealogical data, and family histories of his father's family, William Adams.
