Tintype photograph of a woman, who is most likely Elizabeth Kane. She is wearing a large black hat with white flowers. Her dress is striped with ruffled edges along the length of the sleeve. Her cheeks and lips are slightly tinted pink. At her neck she wears a brooch clipped onto a black cravate bow tie.
