These drafts are liberally marked with corrections such as additions and instructions for omissions. Some are in her handwriting; some may be in the hand of Lawrence Chisolm. Dorothy Weir Young papers, written circa December 18, 1945 to 1960, includes a self-compiled book of poetry, newspaper article about Dorothy, a Red Cross Certificate signed by President Harry Truman, a memorandum book containing information on West Point, a notebook labeled "Cash Book" containing research notes.

Abstract This collection consists of the drafts of a biography of the author's father Julian Alden Weir (1852-1919) and typescripts of his letters. There is also background material on Julian's father, Robert Walter Weir (1803-1889). Both men were prominent American artists from New York state.
