Lawrence H. Suid interviews
Typewritten transcripts of interviews taken from the included cassette tapes. Also included are research notes. The interviews are with advisors to films about the Vietnamese Conflict. Most of these men were involved in the war and also tell about their experiences. These materials were used as research for Suid's PhD dissertation, "The Film Industry and the Vietnam War." A photocopy of this work is with the collection.

Photocopies of daily battle communiques from 6 June 1944 to 7 May 1945 for the Allied Expeditionary Forces, Europe. These materials document the United States armed forces activities during the European Campaign in Western and Central Europe. These items were collected by Lt. Col. D. Reed Jordan, Chief, Communique Section, Public Relations Division.

Typewritten report and drafts. The report was written by the "National Ad Hoc USO Survey Committee" and outlines the contributions of civilian organizations in providing off-duty activities for U.S. service personnel.

Zachary Taylor letter
Handwritten and signed letter dated December 1, 1848 and written in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was addressed to "Thes. Shute" of new Orleans. Taylor expresses regret that he must turn down the offer of Capt. Thompson to take passage to Louisville on the "Magnolia." Taylor was not sure at the time when he would be going North.

Typed autobiography. Thomas served in Hawaii where she met her husband, Thayne L. Thomas. They married on 15 May 1947. She writes about her training and her service. Also included are letters she wrote in 1945.
