This collection includes thirteen boxes of World War II correspondence between Mary Agnes Gall (Hissrich) and Richard E. Hissrich; World War II memorabilia including photographs, medals, articles of clothing, etc. It also includes one box of correspondence between Albert Gall and Ethel Maass during WWI; photographs from WWI; and other memorabilia relating to WWI. Also included in the collection are discs containing digitized images of the WWI photographs and the WWII correspondence.

Handwritten research notes regarding the "Austrian Battalion" during World War Two as well as correspondence between Holmes and various archives. The materials relate to the procurement of items on the same subject which have been cataloged under the number MSS SC 1414.
Jonathan Harriman Holmes diary
Photocopy of a typescript of a diary kept from 1846 to 1848. Holmes writes about enlisting in the Mormon Battalion, the march to Santa Fe and to California, being discharged from the service, and his travels to Sacramento, California, and to Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included is an obituary for Holmes, his account book, and biographies of Franklin Weaver and Sarah Elizabeth Holmes.
