Typescript of a diary. Young kept his journal from 22 April 1918 to 13 May 1919 which was the time of his military service. Young was drafted into the United States Army and served with the 91st "Wild West" Division which landed in France in July 1918 and returned to the United States in April 1919. Young's entries are often lengthy and highly detailed. He describes his experiences in training and in combat and the various activities of the soldiers.

He contracted influenza in 1918. He served as a guard in France, and went to Camp Lincoln after the war to guard Afro-Americans. Typescript of an interview conducted by Scott M. Fellows on 14 Feb. 1985 for the War Project at Brigham Young University. Also included is the reel-to-reel sound tape from which the trancription was made. Warr talks about his three tours of duty in Vietnam starting in 1965, 1967, and 1970. He discusses how the war changed over those years. He was wounded in combat in 1967.
