Billy Hofer Yellowstone glass plate collection

Scope and Contents

Contains thirty-five glass plate negatives of photographs taken by Billy Hofer while he was a guide in Yellowstone Park. Photographs include landscapes within the park as well as groups Hofer guided. There are also photographs of Hofer's cabin in Cinnabar, Montana. Dated 1887.

J Malan Heslop negatives, 1940-2002

Includes 45,941 negatives associated with the J Malan Heslop photographs and include both black and white and color negatives. The negatives range in size from 35 mm, 120, 4x5, and 70 mm. They are primarily safety film, although a few of the earlier negatives are nitrate negatives. Materials dated 1940-2002.

John W. Bubbles photographs, approximately 1924-1985

Contains photographs related to the professional and personal life of Bubbles. Includes photographs of Bubbles himself performing and alone with his family, including publicity photographs and headshots. Also contains autographed photographs of many people he worked with, including Fats Waller, Dinah Washington, and Fred Astaire. Also includes photographs of many of Bubbles' friends and family, including his wife Aysha de Festa and others. Materials date from approximately 1924 to 1985.
