Scope and Contents Joseph Lawson Mission Diary (typed). 79 pages. 15 October 1866 to 10 January 1868. Joseph Lawson was called to serve a mission to England during a General Conference on 8 April 1866. The people in England were excited about his being there from Salt Lake City, his "mountain home," but weren't as interested in the Church at first. Joseph often felt inadequate but prayed for strength to do some good. The journal includes some family history information Joseph found while serving in England....
