Handwritten letters dated 9 March and 8 October 1824. The items were addressed to another prominent Universalist, Nathaniel Stacy. Smith writes expressing concern over the preservation of the records of the Universalist movement.
Nathaniel Stacy letters received
Handwritten letters. The items were written by family members and by members of the Universalist Church of America. Stacy is invited to a convention and asked to speak at a meeting, to help in finding a minister, and to help settle doctrinal disputes. One item is from his children and deal largely with personal and family matters. Most of the items were written when Stacy was living in New York state.
