Collection contains materials pertaining to the life of Betty Eames Brown. It includes her personal bridal shower scrapbook telling the story of her and her husband Herb. It also contains a memorial program for Private Robert Hilton and a Christmas program. Dated circa 1943-1945.
G. Easton Brown interview
Transcript of an interview conducted by Clayton Dahle on 3 July 1985 for the Ray Hillam war project. Brown served as a gunner for the United States Army Air Corps and flew combat missions against the Japanese. He was shot down and captured by the Japanese. Even though he was starved and tortured, he managed to survive. He said that the United States participation in World War II was justified.
Hugh B. Brown uniform
Materials include a Canadian dress uniform and hat, which belonged to Hugh B. Brown when he was an officer during the first World War (1914-1918). The uniform is red with white trim and gold metal on the shoulders. The hat is black and white.
John Brown letter and newspaper clippings
Handwritten and signed letter and photocopies of newspaper clippings. The letter was written at White Hall, New Jersey on April 29, 1857 and is addressed to William Barnes Esq. of Albany New York. Brown states that he would be pleased if Mr. Woods or any friends at Albany could help him by contributing money. Also included are three newspaper clippings dated 1889, 1892, and 1896. The clippings are retrospectives on John Brown and the Harper's Ferry raid (1859).

Manuscripts with some photocopies. The collection includes correspondence, articles and notes pertaining to Western American history, emphasizing the Indian wars. Also includes a copy of A Guide to the William Carey Brown Papers found at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Also included are correspondence with Browning's wife, Pauline, and his son, Richard, while Browning served overseas during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Also included are other family correspondence.
