Phillip II letter to Francisco Fernando de Avalos
Handwritten letter in Spanish addressed to Francisco Fernando de Avalos and dated August 18, 1556. Philip directs Avalos to send 1500 troops to the Duke of Alba serving in Italy. The item is signed, "Yo el Rey."
