Printed proclamation dated 6 April 1858. The document offers free and full pardon to all participants in the "Utah Rebellion" who submit themselves to the authority of the federal government.

Handwritten letter dated 8 March 1886. Cooke responds to a request to give an account his part in the Utah Expedition, 1857-1858, during which a federal army entered Utah. Cooke writes about the march, the wintering at Fort Bridger, Wyoming, the establishing of Camp Floyd, Utah, and about his conversatins with Albert Sidney Johnston, who led the expedition.

Typewritten copy of an autobiography. Larsen was converted to the Mormon Church in Denmark, migrated to Utah in 1855, served in the Utah Militia during the Utah Expedition of 1857-1858, helped build the fort at Wellsville, Utah, and settled in Mendon, Utah.

General Orders dated October 5 and 7, 1857, giving marching orders for the battalions and trains of the U.S. Army stationed at Camp Winfield in the Utah Territory (modern Wyoming). One letter is signed by Maynadier by the order of Col. Alexander.

Receipts for supplies received by the US Army "Utah Expedition" at Ft. Bridger Wyoming 15 July-20 Aug. 1858. They were signed by Montgomery, Lt. Canby, B.Y. Smith, and C.G. Sawtele.

Printed form with handwritten notations. The Company left Fort Bridger, Utah Territory, Aug. 21, 1858, enroute to Benicia, California, and was encamped at Bear River, Oregon Territory when the muster was completed. Includes enlistment and pay information and recapitulation of company statistics.

Diary of the Quartermaster's office of the Nauvoo Legion from April 12 to May 28, 1858. At that time the Nauvoo Legion was resisting the entry of "Johnston's Army" of United States government troops into Utah. Each entry records briefly the weather in Salt Lake City, and tells of the dispatching of supplies to various areas and troops. The diary also reports the arrival and departure from Salt Lake City of various important militia and Mormon Church leaders.

Diary and photocopy. Covers the activities of the author while serving with the Utah Militia in resisting the US Army during the "Utah Expedition, 1857-1858." He also records activities in Ogden, Utah, at the same time.
