Scope and Contents One handwritten and signed letter addressed to "My Dear Hart" and dated March 1895. Beard writes about payment for an illustration which he had produced.

Also included is a typewritten and signed letter, dated 18 April 1938, addressed to R. Meritt Baker of Denver, Colorado, and composed on stationary of the Boy Scouts of America. Beard writes about a missed engagement for which he was to write a greeting. With the letter is the envelope in which it was sent.

One of the item is not dated while the other two are dated 2 April 1898 and 22 May 1897. Bryan responds to Walker's suggestions that he write on certain topics. Bryan writes two undated letters to Mr. Seerley and asks for a couple of favors. Bryan also writes to Alston Ellis on 4 April 1896 and declines an invitation. Bryan also writes to Arthur S. Scope and Contents Two handwritten and signed letters. One is dated 14 Oct. 1890 and is addressed to "Mr. Walker," probably John Brisben Walker, an editor of Cosmopolitan magazine. Atherton writes about an article she has submitted for publication.

The other letter is not dated and relates to Atherton's writings.

Also included is an autograph of Atherton dated 1916.

Scope and Contents Two handwritten and signed letters, dated 7 June 1865 and 15 June (?) 1893. The missive dated 1865 is addressed to "Prof. Bartlett West Point." Blaine recommends J. Brisben Walker, "a young relative of mine," who will be attending West Point to Bartlett. The letter dated 1893 is addressed to Walker. Blaine thanks Walker for his letter which included an address. Also with the collection are two of Blaine's autographs.
