Autograph book compiled from slips of papers signed by members of the House of Commons to allow the bearer access to the gallery to watch the proceedings of that legislative body. A typical note says: "admit bearer to the House of Commons" and then is signed by the person granting permission. Signatures include those of W. E. Gladstone, Prime Minister of Great Britain, and those of many other politicians.

J. a'Becket" is also written on the item in another hand. On the reverse of the envelope "Thomas Turner A'Beckett" is written. The date of the item is unknown.
