Scope and Contents
Handwritten diaries and an autobiography. The autobiography was written in 1885 and tells about Owens' early life including the years he lived in Paragonah, Utah with his father's family. He lived in St. George, Utah for a time and later settled in Joseph, Utah. Owens started his diary in 1885 but most of the entries were made for the years 1930 to 1941. Owens wrties about the economic depression in Utah in the 1930s, complains about health problems, addresses family matters, and...
