Handwritten letters and miscellaneous items. The items contain various letters from children and grandchildren of Sarah A. Scott and were written to her. The majority of these letters came from her children living in the Mormon colonies in Mexico. Also included are letters from children in New Zealand, Georgia, and New Mexico.
Handwritten and bound journals. The items cover the time when Smith served as a Mormon missionary in Tennessee and Georgia. Smith tells about his work as a missionary in entries that are often lengthy and detailed.
