Printed invitations to various events associated with the inauguration of Richard Nixon as president of the United States on 21 Jan. 1973. The materials were sent to Ernest L. Wilkinson, president of Brigham Young University.
Frank L. Noel family collection
Manuscripts, typescripts, and printed documents with manuscript entries. The collection includes correspondence and personal papers of five generations of the Noel family centered on Frank L. Noel, his wife Mary Eliza Roberts and their fourteen children, Mormon residents of New Mexico and later Utah.
Zada Howell Norman letters
Handwritten and signed letters addressed to Zada's friend, Leota Brady Winkler, who was living in Tooele, Utah, from 1969-2005. Zada writes about family matters, and gives Leota greetings for her birthdays.
Zachary Taylor note
Handwritten and signed note dated Jan. 3, 1835. Taylor acknowledges the receipt of extra whiskey for ten men at Fort Crawford who performed one day extra duty.
Bernard Shaw note
Handwritten and initialed note. The item was written on June 27, 1938 and comments on a photographic portrait made of Shaw probably in 1903. He considered the portrait "deceptive" and "undercorrected" because it failed to show his hair as blond. A copy of the photograph cut out of a magazine is also included.
Note on Morris Snedaker
Handwritten note by an unknown author. The item is dated 17 Oct., but the year is not given. The note relates to Morris Snedaker trying to get permission from the second president of the Mormon Church, Brigham Young, to resume the manufacutre of Salt.
Henry Harmon Spalding notice
Handwritten and signed notice written on Jan. 22, 1849. The note was announcing the sale of property belonging to Jacob Hoffman who had recently died.
