James MacKintosh letters
Photocopies of handwritten letters. The materials were addressed to James' son, Daniel MacKintosh in Salt Lake City, Utah. The items were authored by James and his brother, J. MacKintosh. Each of the letters was written in Scotland. The MacKintosh brothers write to Daniel with the intention of showing him the errors in the Mormon religion and to discuss how children should be raised.
Frederic Remington letters
Handwritten and signed letters dated February 10 and June 14. The year of their composition is uncertain. These manuscripts relate to Remington's attempt to get some of his works published.
W. B. Yeats letters
Six handwritten and signed letters and one envelope. The items are addressed to Judith Masefield and are short notes of greetings.
Gordon Bottomley and Albert Sperison letters
Handwritten and signed letters, addressed to Judith Masefield, and dated 8 Dec. 1925 and 30 Jan. 1930. Bottomley writes about the play "Gruach," comments on Masefield's costuming, and mentions an Italian motion picture exhibited at the Royal Academy. Also included is a typed, signed, and undated letter from Albert Sperison to "Dear David" discussing the nature of Bottomley's missives.
J. M. Barrie letters
Handwritten and signed letters, addressed to Mr. Smith and Judith Masefield, and dated 25 Dec. 1919 and 9 Nov. 1920. Barrie responds to invitations received from Smith and Masefield.
Letters received
Handwritten and signed letters dated 28 Sept. 1854 and 27 May 1867. One item is from John H. Coon, in San Francisco, California, and tells about business matters and discusses mutual friends. The other letter is from George W. Converse, a resident of Idaho, and tells about mining, crops, food prices, and speculates about the possibility of an Indian war.
Edward Levin correspondence
About fifty letters sent and received by Edward Levin. The correspondence relates largely to Levin's finances. It includes such items as requests for union dues; taxes on his land; materials relating to his homesteading of land near Leadville, Colorado; irrigation rights; and monetary transactions. Levin owned land in Colorado and Utah.
Life sketch of A. Jay
Handwritten autobiography, a newsclipping about Aaron Johnson Sr. (1806-1877), a handwritten copy of the senior Johnson's biography by his daughter, Marilla Lucretia Johnson Miller, and handwritten copies of correspondence on the Johnson family genealogy. This correspondence consists of letters from Stephen Johnson, brother of Aaron Johnson Sr., and also from Frank L. Johnson and W.E. Johnson, distant cousins of Aaron Johnson Jr. All items are photocopies.

Abraham Lincoln pardon and correspondence
Collection includes originals and photocopies of correspondence between Abraham Lincoln and Andrew G. Ege from 1864. Includes a letter from Ege requesting a discharge from the draft for his son, and the reply from Lincoln in which the request is granted.
