Most of the correspondence was between Dorcheus and his son, John Alexander Dorcheus, and other family members in 1918 when John was serving in the United States Army. Handwritten autobiography, 75 pages of John Nicolai Thueson Dorcheus, who lived in Gunnison, Utah, and later in Ashton, Idaho, and participated in the Black Hawk War against the Ute Indians in Utah. Also included are typed copies of patriarchal blessings of Dorcheus family members. Dated 1911.
