Life of Samuel Rowley
Photocopy of a typewritten autobiography. Rowley writes about his conversion to the Mormon Church, his migration to Utah with the Willie handcart company in 1856, and his life in Parowan and San Juan County, Utah.
Henry Lunt diary
Typed copy of a diary of Henry Lunt who served as "Assistant Clerk of the company of original pioneers to Parowan, Utah." Lunt records the journey of the pioneers to Parowan, Utah, and the activities of these settlers after they had arrived. The diary starts on 16 Dec. 1850 and ends on 2 Jan. 1852 and has many gaps.

Handwritten autobiography. The date of composition is uncertain. Martineau writes about being forced to leave Missouri with other Mormons, migrating to Utah in 1849, marrying James Henry Martineau in 1852, and her life in Parowan, Utah.
Short history of William Campbell McGregor
Photocopy of a typewritten biography of William Campbell McGregor by an unknown author. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1833 and married Sara Fish Smith in 1857. He joined the Mormon Church in 1850 and came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1854 and later moved to Parowan, Utah. He served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in 1876 and 1880-1. McGregor raised a Navajo Indian child, Jennette, and participated in Utah's Black Hawk War. He died in 1913.
Life of Ane Nielsen Mickelsen
Photocopy of a typewritten biography. Cawood writes about Ane Nielsen Mickelsen (1825-1909). Mickelsen was born Ane Nielsen in Denmark. She heard about the Mormon Church from Erastus Snow and came to Salt Lake City, Utah. She later lived in Cedar City and Parowan, Utah, and married Rasmus Mickelsen.

The item documents the administration of the stake including matters of theology, Mormon Church practices, and membership problems. Also included is an explanation of the "Deseret Alphabet" and how difficulties with the transciption were resolved.
