Glass photo slides, mementos, and biographical material pertaining to Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin. The collection includes a collection of 30 glass photo slides, comprised of 18 of Fleming's originals depicting his experiments to prove penicillin's value in 1928-9, 11 scenes Bryner took while on a family trip with the Flemmings in 1954, and one memento from Louis Pasteur's funeral.
Cornell Taylor Christensen diary
Handwritten diary begun as an autobiography covering the years 1910-1931 and continuing as a diary from 1931 to 1936. It ends with a record of his struggle with tuberculosis which ended his life in 1936 at the age of 26. A letter to Christensen from his mother fills pages 167-176. It was written the morning of his death and describes various memories she had of him.
Charles J. Langston papers
Materials include photographs, letters, and documents related to Charles J. Langston's mission to Tonga from 1916 to 1918 and his death in Tonga in 1918. There is a letter to the family from the First Presidency and signed by Heber J. Grant, a photograph of Langston's tombstone in Tonga taken in 2002, letters from his mission president, and a letter home written by Langston himself. Dated 1916-2002.
