Frederick Cooke diary
Photocopies of a handwritten diary including some introductory notes by Frederick Cooke's granddaughter Alice Cooke Zabriskie in 1954. The diary covers the years 1838 to 1842. Frederick describes his conversion to the Mormon Church and his missionary experiences in Wales.

He told of his experiences while teaching, his hopes for the souls of Wales, his testimony of the truthfullness of the Mormon Church, his family members, his visits to his cousins, and the challenges of teaching. He visited Cardiff, Wales, where he was born, and he travelled to many other areas as well.

John Needham diary and autobiography
Typewritten copy of a diary from 1840-1842. Needham writes about his conversion, missionary activies in England and Wales, faith promoting experiences, persecutions, and also gives details of the organization of branches in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including names and dates of baptisms and ordinations of the members. Also included is a five-page typescript of an autobiography written late in the nineteenth century when Needham lived in Logan, Utah.

Photocopies of a handwritten diary. Shepherd writes about his daily activities while serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wales.
Ann Rogers Snow biography
One typewritten booklet. It contains a brief history of Ann Rogers Snow. She was born in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. She converted with her family to the Mormon faith and migrated to Utah. Gardner also emphasizes Snow's spiritual experiences.
John Walters letters
Handwritten letters. Walters writes to relatives about various family matters. He tells of the deaths and illnesses of many persons. Walters may have been a member of the Mormon Church because he once said, "and I hope to meet you in Zion."
Daniel Edward Williams diary and autobiography
Handwritten autobiography and diary with photocopies of the item. The account of Williams' early life was written from notes and from his memory in 1852. Williams, a native of Penally, Pembroke, South Wales, was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1840s. He served on a mission in Wales for that faith from 1846 to 1852.
