John Dudman diary

Peter McIntyre autobiography

Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of an autobiography. McIntyre served in the British Army in Spain and France during the Napoleonic Wars. He was also sent to the United States to fight Americans in 1815. After the war, he returned to Scotland. He later heard Mormon missionaries preach and was converted to their faith around the year 1841. He served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Great Britain, migrated to Utah in 1853, and settled in Tooele, Utah in 1853. The record was completed by one of...

Norton talks about his youth, his educational background, his missions to Great Britain, his experiences as a farmer and as a sugar factory worker in Idaho. He describes in some detail his life as a Mormon pioneer in Canada and offers his religious interpretations of the events of his life.
