Letters and a portrait, 1838
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 24 June 1838, and addressed to "Mr. Lucas." Cambell writes about his health and mentions "I have finished the preface to Shakspeare & begun to the Life of Petrarch." Also included is a handwritten and signed letter addressed to "dear Madam." The item is not dated. Cambell writes that he regrets he cannot dine with her. With the collection is an undated etching portrait of Campbell.
Richard Frederick Littledale letter
Handwritten letter, signed "R. F. Littledale," and dated 5 Oct. 1871. Littledale writes about a possible meeting with a friend.
John Critchley Prince letter
Handwritten letter dated April 1849 written in Ashton under Lyne. The letter is addressed to "Sir." Prince writes that he has "published a new and second work" which has been well received and offers to sell a copy of it for five Shillings.
Anthony Trollope letter
Handwritten and signed letter dated 1876 and written from "39 Montagu Square." Trollope writes about making an appointment with a friend.
